Chen Po-I has always been interested in photography, but trained as an oceanographic engineer. Chen is interested in walls of abandoned buildings, sometimes broken and ready to be demolished or rebuild. Framed in a particular way, these openings-to-the-world highlight the antagonism of empty interiors, full of history but in miserable state and the outside world in full progression.
