Most of the improvements to the Psychic Temple are currently taking place on paper or underground. But what’s going on across the street at the Edison?
The venue has been down since 2006 or 2007, but came back to life last year when Imprint hosted its Long Beach: Work in Progress event.
The stage and screen are still present, and the main area still looks good from the cleanup. That’s good because interTrend may spend some time here while the Psychic Temple is being finished.
The upstairs media area remains mess. This is where the work has begun: Internet, power, etc. More like an organ transplant than an updating, really.
The bathrooms and changing rooms will require some fixing, too. For the former, few will dare enter as they stand. As for the latter, some might spend hours there.
No work necessary for the lobby, though. It’s already perfect…
