Architecture for Dogs in Shanghai
Earlier this month, Architecture for Dogs opened its sixth iteration at at the Shanghai Himalayas Museum. As always, it includes thought-provoking crowd-pleasing, species-specific pieces lovingly created by architectural and design heavyweights Atelier Bow-Wow, Toyo Ito, MVRDV, Yansong Ma, Kengo Kuma, Konstantin Grcic, Kazuyo Sejima, TORAFU ARCHITECTS Inc., Hiroshi Naito, Shigeru Ban, Sou Fujimoto, Reiser+Umemoto, Hara Design Institute, and co-creator and curator Kenya Hara.
There are also new pieces, including a new addition by renowned Chinese architect Yansong Ma and an enlarged version of Hara’s “D-Tunnel” in which visitors can walk into the space and see from a dog’s perspective. (That’s Architecture for Dogs co-creator and interTrend and Imprint Lab’s own Julia Huang enjoying the view from above.)
Architecture for Dogs will be showing in Shanghai through October 11. Small dogs are welcome!
